We would really like to help prepare learners on our BBN program for the business world and expose them to the disciplines of office routine etc.
Nick Nicholls CA(SA) has done a great job taking on 2 learners, and we at Addsure had three of our top attenders work a week each at a time at Addsure's office!
Here Xola (right) understudies Nomviwo and helps around the office! Well done Xola, Anelisa, Sibongile, Zodidi and Yomelela!

Full Attendance = Lunch at the Spur!
100% attendance is rewarded in Addsure's BBN learners program! At the end of each term/quarter, learners who have had 100% attendance join us for a local "business lunch"
The two young men "clinking glasses" actually work part time now at the Spur in Milnerton - a start towards learning from the bottom, how business works. Thank you Spur Milnerton for supporting our program!
Off to Malmesbury
Trip to Malmesbury Home Affairs to get some ID documents organised - any South African Business person needs an ID book at least not so! Watch these winners!

Good Progress!
Our BBN Saturday morning learner participation has increased and we are so impressed with the student enthusiasm! Supposed to have one hour sessions each we are pleased to see some learners doing nearly three hours flat out when computers are free! Wow, watch out South Africa, here come our future business leaders!

Computer skills
Computer literacy is something we take for granted these days. What about the learners who have no access to a computer? Leave school with a matric and not able to type? Well, thats a reality fos some.
Surprise surprise...but true. Not good.
So, to counter this, and to get our BBN learners on track for employment, Addsure has invested in typing learnership software. Our office is opened up on saturday mornings and our learners go through a rigourous computer led typing tutorial. Lesson One just past and we are stoked with the progress! 8 learners have started.
Help us get some of the less privelaged learners business ready!
We are looking for volunteer businesses who will take on learners for holiday jobs say for R50 a day so that they get the feel of office / factory / business discipline. Being at work on time, starting at the bottom, proving themselves etc. Please call Mike on 021 5515069 if you can assit - preferably in striking distance from Milnerton / Blouberg.

Apprentices in your business
These learners have already started! Nick Nicholls CA(SA) a practicing chartered accountant in Milnerton, has sponsored 2 learners whose ambition is to enter the accounting profession. As young as they are, an early start in a holiday job scenario, learners get the feel of the accounting field starting with junior tasks. What a great start! Well done Lindelwa and Yomelela - I hope to see you in practice one day! Well done Nick for supporting these learners at your office during school holidays.
Ultra keen and energetic Phelo and Sisa want to have businesses in the tourism industry one day. They want to work their way up and eventually start their own businesses one one day. The Milneron Spur has given them an opportunity to prove themselves - starting at first base, we hope that these 2 will prove to Spur manager Baylis that they are worth their salt! Thank you Baylis, we are going to watch these 2 young men learn business basics and see them prove themselves!
CAN YOUR BUSINESS SUPPORT ANY OF THE LEARNERS? ANY HOLIDAY JOBS IN JUNE?
Any level of support will be great, even your encouragement!
Please contact Mike on 021 5515069 mike@addsure.co.za or Joe info@bbn.co.za
The Learners
On their journey up mountain one, we as mentors are learning about our students. We make it our business to get to know them and their goals, their strengths and their weaknesses. Through discussion, interaction and questionaires we have already determined some of their desires in life and what some of them would like to become. Among these are accountants, a hair dresser, journalist, marketing manager, clothing designer, farmers, film director, singer, retailer, tv presenter, scientist, foresnsic investigator, laywers and tour director. These young learners want to become someone and make it big!
